Explanation of tariff structure & conditions

Explanation of price structure

  • The energy tax and surcharge for sustainable energy and climate transition (ODE) are adjusted by the government every year on 1 January. Different rates apply from an annual consumption of 10,000 kWh. More information can be found at deltanergie.nl/energiebelastingen. As of January 1, 2023, the government has included the ODE in the energy tax.
  • Do you generate electricity? You supply the power that you do not use immediately back to the electricity grid via your connection. On your annual bill, the amount of electricity purchased and the amount of electricity supplied back are offset against each other in accordance with the statutory regulation. If a consumption remains after that, you pay the price per kWh including energy taxes and VAT. Do you return more than you consume? Then you will receive a feed-in fee per kWh, excluding energy taxes and VAT. Did you become a customer of DELTA after August 1, 2022? Then you will receive a feed-in fee of € 0.135 per kWh.   • In 2023, an amount of € 596.86 (including 21% VAT) will be granted in 2023 per home in which there is an electricity connection, per 12 months. This will be taken into account in your installment amount.
  • Additional costs are the network management costs charged by your network operator for renting the meter and transporting electricity. These amount to approximately € 29.55 (including 21% VAT) per month and depend on the size of your connection and your network operator. The costs can change annually.
  • Additional costs are the network management costs charged by your network operator for renting the meter and transporting gas. These amount to approximately € 17.25 (including 21% VAT) per month and depend on the size of your connection and your network operator. The costs can change annually.
  • If you choose to receive your energy bill from DELTA by post and pay the bill yourself, we will add administration costs to your monthly installment. The costs are € 2.50 (incl. 21% VAT) per month. If you receive your invoice by e-mail, you can transfer your invoice amount via iDEAL, saving you these administration costs. With direct debit we do not charge any administration costs.
